What’s the difference between broadband internet, and fiber-optic?

Broadband Internet: General term for high-speed internet delivered via DSL, cable, or satellite. Speeds and reliability depend on the connection type and network congestion.

Fiber-Optic Internet: Uses light signals through glass fibers, providing significantly faster and more reliable internet compared to traditional broadband. Benefits of Fiber-Optic Internet for Consumers

• Blazing Speeds: Symmetrical upload/download speeds (often 1 Gbps or higher), perfect for streaming, gaming, and video conferencing without lag.

• Unmatched Reliability: Resistant to weather, electrical interference, and distance-related issues, offering consistent performance.

• Superior Bandwidth: Handles multiple devices simultaneously, ideal for homes with heavy internet usage.

• Future-Proof: Designed for growing data demands, supporting 4K/8K streaming, smart homes, and emerging technologies.

Is there any cost outside of my monthly payment?

Depending on the provider you have access to, they could be a small set up fee associated which can usually be avoided with good credit. The benefits of fiber far outweigh any $20 deposit.

If you are lucky to have access to our best providers & areas - there is no cost outside of your monthly payment!

The only time you would see a cost is if you’re carrying over an existing device with an unpaid balance. In the case of a wireless device (cellphone) you would be responsible to pay the device balance before entering into a new plan!

The best way to know for sure is to call us to check what you have access to. 844-62-FIBER
